Adj A/Prof Steve Morris
Steve Morris has worked in numerous clinical and leadership roles in the health sector, spanning pharmacy practice, community and hospitals, primary care, industry, and NGOs.
He comes to Arthritis SA having been CEO NPS MedicineWise since 2018, which promotes the safe and wise use of medicines and other health technologies.
Prior to this Steve was accountable for the delivery of statewide pharmacy services to the public sector in South Australia, holding dual roles as Executive Director SA Pharmacy, and Chief Pharmacist for SA Health.
Originally from the UK, Steve was deputy chief executive of the National Prescribing Centre. He was appointed an adjunct professor at the University of SA in 2018.

David Waterford

David Waterford
David Waterford has been a member of the Board of Arthritis SA since 2015. He was Vice-President 2019-2020 and has been President since the 2020 Annual General Meeting of the Foundation.
David is Principal Consultant at OzTrain, an Adelaide based management and organisational development consultancy firm. He has been with Oztrain for over eight years. Core parts of David’s consultancy practice are strategic planning, organisational reviews, and not-for-profit governance.
Prior to working as a consultant, David spent 16 years in the South Australia public sector, mainly in senior executive roles. He worked in diverse areas such as health, child protection and the Department of the Premier and Cabinet. David also worked in direct service delivery and management in the non-government sector and in community education. David was awarded the Public Service Medal in the Australia Day Honours of 2008. He is a Fellow of Governor’s Leadership Foundation. In 2021, Flinders University awarded David a Doctor of Philosophy for his research in public policy.

Dr Tiffany Gill

Dr Tiffany Gill
Dr Tiffany Gill (BAppSc, MAppSc, CertHealthEc, PGradDip(Hlth Sc), PGradDip(Biostats), MBA, PhD, APAM) is a physiotherapist and a musculoskeletal epidemiologist whose research interests and experience span a broad range of areas in musculoskeletal health and disease.
She has undertaken research training in epidemiology and biostatistics and has skills in the area of health economics. Prior to this, she was a practising physiotherapist (and remains registered) and has an extensive range of experience in hospital, community, and private practice settings. As a researcher, Tiffany has previously worked at the University of SA and SA Health and is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Adelaide. She is also an affiliate Senior Research Fellow with the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of SA.

Professor Catherine Hill

Professor Catherine Hill
Prof Hill is a clinical rheumatologist and researcher. She currently undertakes clinical work, research and drug regulatory work for the Commonwealth and State Governments.
She is a Head of Unit of Rheumatology at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, rheumatologist at Royal Adelaide Hospital, SA and Professor, Discipline of Medicine, University of Adelaide. She is a current member of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC) of Federal Government.
She heads the Rheumatology Research Group at the Basil Hetzel Institute with research expertise in population epidemiology, randomised clinical trials, qualitative research, biobanking and quality improvement. The Research Group has experts in epidemiology, statistics, biobanking, qualitative methods and evidence-based medicine. It is the South Australian hub of Australian Arthritis and Autoimmune Biobank (A3BC). She is immediate Past President of Australian Rheumatology Association (2020-2022) and served on the ARA Board from 2016-May 2022. She is a member of the Board of the Australian and New Zealand Vasculitis Society which she helped establish in 2019. She has recently been appointed as Medical Director of Arthritis SA and has joined their Board. She attended the AICD Company Director’s Course in August 2020.

Scott Martin

Scott Martin
Scott is an experienced finance and commercial professional with over 15 years’ experience in the energy sector. Scott currently holds a senior role at Origin Energy where he is the Head of Commercial Strategy & Transactions for the Energy Markets business.
Scott has a deep understanding of finance and commodities having led and managed over $5bn of transactions across mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, treasury and energy financial markets disciplines.
Scott is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Adelaide, is a Chartered Accountant, a member of the Australian Financial Markets Association, and holds a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance.
Scott is passionate about helping people with Arthritis and finding practical solutions to complex issues.

Justin Sharman

Justin Sharman
Justin is a Principal at DMAW Lawyers, where he has practised for over 16 years in commercial disputes and risk management.
He acts primarily on complex commercial litigation, contractual and property disputes, insolvency, bankruptcy and shareholder disputes. Justin also advises boards on governance and organisational risk management.
Justin is committed to assisting the Foundation to continue to provide accessible and meaningful education, services and support to those living with arthritis and rheumatic illnesses and their families.

Anne Young

Anne Young
Anne Young has worked in the pharmacy-health retail industry for much of her working life.
She was in Chemplus’s head office for more than 20 years and was a consultant to the group via her company Young Resources, prior to this. Anne has a firm view on developing business by developing people. Anne is an experienced senior executive and business owner with a background in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, sales, management, leadership, people development and marketing and communications.
She is also passionate about philanthropy and sharing her expertise and time. Working to make things better for others, gives her a sense of purpose and accomplishment. Anne is currently a Director on the Boards of Arthritis SA, Mary Potter Foundation, Heart Foundation SA and Kidsafe SA. She was previously a Director of Scotch College SA and Chemplus Chemists prior to that company’s merger with Terry White Chemists in August 2015.

Michele Herriot

Michele Herriot
Michele Herriot has more than 30 years’ experience in the area of health promotion, primary health care and public health including six years as the Director of Health Promotion in SA Health.
She now runs her own health promotion consulting business undertaking work for three different levels of government, non-government organisations and universities in SA, interstate and overseas.
Michele has extensive experience in strategic planning and advocacy, plus the planning, implementation and evaluation of health-related policies, programs, campaigns and services. A primary focus has been on the prevention and better management of chronic diseases. Advocacy for implementation of an evidence based ‘Osteoarthritis Model of Care’ with the Arthritis Foundation SA is one such example. More recently Michele has supported capacity building around implementation of a Health in All Policies approach to addressing the social and economic determinants of health as well as conducting, with colleagues, an evidence-informed review of the health promotion workforce for Wellbeing SA.
Michele is the former Vice President and Secretary of the Australian Health Promotion Association and was awarded Life Membership in June 2022. She also served as a Director of the Asthma Foundation for six years.

Steven Smith

Steven Smith
After his first career as a teacher in the humanities in secondary schools, Steven Smith founded United Focus Pty Ltd in 1995.
He specialised in advising the cultural sector and NFPs helping them to understand the Web and how to do business online. He wrote the first websites on behalf of the Australian Government advising small business on digital matters and e-security.
Steven joined KPMG Australia in 2011 in a national role as a Director in digital consulting. He worked with clients at all levels of government around Australia, and in the financial sector, utilities and in private companies. The consulting was chiefly in digital strategy, risk management in the use of social media and raising awareness and understanding of digital disruption and what to do about it.
Steven left KPMG and took up the role of Director of Admissions at a leading independent school in South Australia. In early 2022 he took up the position as manager of professional development of 130 staff at SRA Information Technology. Steven has Chaired the SA State Council of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA); Chaired Kids Physio Foundation and is a Member of the Institute of Company Directors.
