TITLE : Manager, Operations and Stakeholder Relations

The Manager Operations and Stakeholder Relations is responsible for the effective leadership, management and execution of stakeholder engagement and operational strategies. The position is responsible for strategic growth and revenue generation through stakeholder management and operational delivery.

 Strategic Growth : Work closely with the CEO and Senior Management Team to develop and implement strategies to grow income streams to sustain the Arthritis Foundation of South Australia (“AFSA”).
 Stakeholder Engagement: Drive business development across the organisation including donor engagement, marketing and promotion, corporate partnerships and providing marketing support to health services.
 Operations Management: Management of daily operations of revenue generation.
 Budget and Financial Accountability: Contribute to the preparation of budgets. Ensure effective planning, monitoring, management and reporting of program budgets.
 Compliance. Ensure that sector benchmarks are maintained and relevant legislative, ethical and professional standards are met.

Key Result Areas

1. Operational Management
 Effective management of systems and functions associated with stakeholder and donor relations
 Management of revenue generating operations and associated contracts
 Develop, implement and manage effective administration systems and procedures to support operational outcomes

2. Stakeholder Engagement
 Develop and manage stakeholder engagement plan
 Develop and manage communications plan (internal and external)
 Develop and implement marketing campaigns, collateral, and promotional programs
 Manage social media and digital presence

3. Business and Systems
 Develop and implement growth and revenue improvement initiatives
 Develop business unit annual budget
 Undertake monthly reporting of budget and operational performance
 Oversight of operational business systems
 Ensure that all policy, procedural and corporate communication systems are current and fully effective

4. Performance Management, Improvement and Evaluation
 Review and produce monthly performance monitoring metrics and key performance indicators for operations and stakeholder engagement business unit
 Monitor and identify opportunities for business practice and productivity improvement
 Coach team for development, individual capability development and performance management

5. Leadership & People
 Attract, engage and manage staff to support growth of AFSA
 Lead and mentor and support business unit staff
 Ensure connections between staff, volunteers and management facilitate sharing of relevant information

6. Risk and Safety Management
 Identify and manage risks to ensure AFSA is protected from tangible and intangible risks
 Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and internal Standards and Codes relevant to AFSA
 Protect the reputation of AFSA and adhere to AFSA values at all times

Experience and Knowledge

 Proven high level stakeholder engagement, marketing and communications capability and experience
 Demonstrated experience in achieving business growth with strong customer service focus
 Practical digital and social media management capability
 Proven leadership of a medium to large team

 Project management skills
 Operational experience
 Established professional and political networks in South Australia
 Fundraising in the not-for-profit sector experience
 Media management

Qualifications (preferred)
 Tertiary level communications or commerce
 Australian driving licence

Key Performance Indicators
The incumbent will be expected to enter into in an annual performance agreement with the CEO.

Key Performance Indicators will be developed annually to align with strategic objective and annual business plans

All AFSA Staff are required to undergo a National Police Check prior to engagement
