Michele Herriot has more than 30 years experience in the area of health promotion, primary health care and public health at state and national levels, including six years as the Director of Health Promotion in SA Health. She now runs her own health promotion consulting business undertaking work for three different levels of government, non-government organisations and universities in SA and interstate.
Michele has extensive experience in strategic planning and advocacy, plus the planning, implementation and evaluation of health related policies, programs, campaigns and services. A primary focus has been on the prevention and better management of chronic diseases. She established the internationally significant Obesity Prevention and Lifestyle (OPAL) initiative in 20 communities across SA.
Michele is Vice President of the Australian Health Promotion Association and served as a Director of the Asthma Foundation for six years.
